Eat the skyA Poem by Nina Love
Would you Eat at the hot summer sky Swallow down the shimmering, swimming liquid blue Of the chokingly humid air, Sip at the fluffy white pillow-clouds As if sipping at some extensivley expensive wine, Just let it slip down, Heat searing into your stomach Where it swirls and twirls And dances in the crippilingly acidic contents Till like a palace coup, Your stomach revolts, Your body rejects the beautiful day you stole And it all comes up in a swirling mass of hot, rainbow-colored vomit, Of sky given back to Earth © 2008 Nina Love |
