He's already gone

He's already gone

A Poem by Elisabeth

I'm here
sitting all alone
My eyes refuse to tear
My heart refuses to mend

I wish I'd be more alive
been more there
more loving

I wish I recognized it for what it was
I dreamt of something else
I cried over him
He cried over her

Never loved me,
but I wish he would pretend
Lie to me.

I want to say sorry
but
he's already gone
