Swept Away

Entry for contest

Swept away on a moon-lit night
a magical, mystical ride.
Sailing on a sea of stars
with my sweetheart by my side.

Swept away with hope in my heart
and love alive in my soul
Riding the wind like a lightning flash
with the moon as my final goal.

Swept away in a midnight dream
riding, no end in sight.
Awakened too soon, disappointed, entuned
never to finish my flight.
