To wonder

Here I sit in silence all alone with my thoughts

and while I sit to ponder I have become very distraught. 

I think of days long lost,while you continue to still linger.

Remembering times forever past 

and I question why you always held my ring finger.

I question what all our actions meant

and all of what you had to say.

Still I wonder what lead you to me

and why you are still around today.
I wonder why you still care,why you call and write.

Although you are far way, it is as you never want to say goodnight.

Some days I wish on the stars that I could blink my memory away.

If I could only erase every trace left of you and I could finally be at bay.

But then I think of what was had should never be lost

we dared to live in the moment and I would never want to forget that.

No matter what the cost.
