Goodbye, brave Seaman.

Goodbye, brave Seaman.

A Poem by lindsay

The cold wind is blowing,
for the autumn months are coming
and as November is approaching,
I guess I will no longer hear your strumming.

As the night before is upon us
I can feel the tears build up inside of me.
I can barely form words when we stand face to face.
It is worse for you, as far as I can see.
For you are leaving everyone,
everyone you love and care about
and everyone that has brought you glee.

We hold each other under the night sky.
Our embrace is filled with happiness and sorrow.
With pain and regret.
With love and loss.
This is not a good-bye, but I will see you on the morrow.

Always,  I have been there to support  you completely
and I will continue to, so willingly.

You march off with such pride,
with such a brave heart in your chest
and wise head on your shoulders.
You have the intentions to help and save all you can
and that will never be put to rest.

Oh my core aches! This was lovely!

"This is not a good-bye, but I will see you on the morrow." ... I can relate to this line because when people say goodbye to me, I always tell them that I'll see them soon or see them tomorrow because a goodbye is like saying never see you again. This was very touching! I love reading your work because I find myself in the lines of the mas well.. it's like you write for me. Even the imagery you created was swell! =] great job!

Well, coming from a career Navy man, we all hope to have someone like yourself keeping the home fires burning. I'll try to get back and read some more later.

Great writing.

I was touched when I read this and it mixed up my feelings inside because I have a similar situation going on here. Every line and every word is put together beautifully, great job girl. =)

I dont know which is greater in proportion the leaving tears Or the happy reunions They both make us happy to be alive But one seems to hurt in a good way.
