The Easiest ActA Poem by LachtarusIt's about an epiphany I had, where I thought that giving up, choosing to be irresponsible and undisciplined, and ruining your life is easy. And that one should instead embrace suffering and challenge
Sitting on my couch, this question in me unfurled,
What could be the Easiest Act in the World? Instantly, I felt the answer in my Heart, Before my Brain’s speculation could ever start. The Easiest Act in the world, it said, Is to pass on to the Land of the Living Dead. To choose the Devil to your left, So that of the Angels, your Soul remains bereft. When the child invites out the Monster under the covers, For his Inner Darkness pairs well with him, he discovers. When the first Woman God would ever make, Would regrettably end up listening to the Snake. Turning from the Good that always takes you for granted, Into the Arms of that Unconditional Evil, enchanted. Finally finding someone who has but one simple demand, That you give in to Hades’ Realm, and let the Underworld command. - Lachtarus © 2024 LachtarusAuthor's Note
