Number one Fan

a short poem about a mother's love for her child.

She cheers him on, in all that he's done.

In her eyes he is nuber one.

All the ups and downs he's been through.

The love that she feels will always be true.

Always first to arrive, last one to leave.

In him she'll always believe.

She's been a fan from the day they first met.

She is the one he will never forget.

She was there when he scraped his knee.

She was the one who taught him to climb a tree.

He ran to her with paintings he made,

and every test with a good grade.

Searching the sea of faces, he ignores all others.

AS the game is about to begin....

he waves to his mother.
