What would you do if you had just one day with someone you loved?

Just one day

 

If I had just one day to share with you...

I would say everything I needed to say.

I would tell you a joke,Just to hear you laugh. (so full of joy)

If I only had one day.

 

If I had just one day to share with you...

I would remember the simple things.

I would play your favorite song,

Just to hear you sing. ( to always remember your sound)

If I only had one day.

 

If I had just one day to share with you...

I would memorize your entire face. ( every line, every freckle)

For in a corner of my mind would it be traced.

If I only had one day.

 

If I had just one day to share with you...

I would run my fingers through your hair, until you fell asleep.

Making new memories to keep. (locked in my heart)

If I only had one day.

 

If I had just one day to share with you...

I would admire your every perfection.

Tell you never to change a thing.

I would tell you all the ways you have touched my soul.

How your mere presence makes me whole. (your light shines)

If I only had one day.

 

If I had just one day to share with you...

I would hug you ever so tight.

I would forgive your every mistake.

Do anything to make it right. (never enough time)

If I only had one day.

 

If I had just one day to share with you...

I would take you to your favorite place. (anywhere)

"I love you" are words I would never forget to say.

That guy is so lucky, I yearn for someone to love me so earnestly too. A beautiful and elegant piece.
