Through The Rain

A poem about dealing with life's upsets, and knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I know that you are hurting,

though I cannot feel your pain.

I know it will get better,

you just have to make it through the rain.

 

He took your love and broke your heart,

It's enough to go insane.

I know it will get better,

if you make it through the rain.

 

I have seen from your eyes the tears you shed,

like rain drops on a window pane.

I know it will get better,

you just have to make it through the rain.

 

I know you feel way off track,

like an old brokedown train.

I know it will get better,

If you make it through the rain.

 

Though I cannot tell you how to feel,

but I know this loss will become a gain.

I promise it will be better,

When you make it through the rain.

Perhaps it is because I am more of an emotional wreck than I would like to let on, perhaps it is just a case of really trying to be honest with myself for the first time in forever, or perhaps I am just a crybaby...lol; but I felt the start of that welling in my eyes - but it was stifled by the smile that could not help but arrive at the hope in this piece. Yes, once we make it through the rain... things will be better.
