I Love You Too

I Love You Too

A Poem by laRagazza
"

I have no idea where this came from, some dark, unexplored corner of my mind, I guess. Or just my imagination. Let's hope it's the latter:)

"
An Angel because I allow you to kiss me,
Count yourself lucky, I'm out of your league.
Indifference, it glazes my image with myst'ry,
An external layer, deep hues of intrigue.

We walk on the sidewalk, embarrassed a small tad
to have you beside me, in public, in day.
An unfounded feeling, you're really not that bad,
And I never cared what the others would say.

And then there's those moments my heart melts like butter,
When you say you love me, I trust it as truth.
But deep in my stomach, below all the flutters,
I fear this is shallow, we're just drunk in youth.

I kiss you, your eyes close, this moment I've frozen,
and kept you inside because deep down I'm scared
that one day you'll wake up, and when your eyes open,
You'll see me. You'll realize that nothing was there.
Such are my thoughts. So now you know.
Don't you dare say that I never did care.
The fact that I've said this, the fact that I've shown,
Means I'll never leave you. That I want you here.

It may not be easy,
But I think it's true.
This is me saying that I love you too.
