Summertime Sadness

Summertime Sadness

A Poem by laRagazza
"

I know the title is technically plagiarizing, but I couldn't publish it without adding a title!

"
In the sunrise of a summer's day
my eyes catch the sun's first ray
glowing gold, it fades away,
and feeds the bright blue sky.

Endless possibilities
whisper to me when the breeze
comes down through the green leafed trees
and make me want to sing.

I drive away from where I'm from
music loud in my eardrums
I feel like I am having fun
the A-C is on high.

I drive back into my garage
the heat is making a mirage
of Cinderella's entourage
where my car pulls in.

I step out into hot, wet air
cicadas laughing everywhere.
