FallingA Poem by MariaIf you can't understand it, then that was the main point, fear not - it does have a meaning...I stare down the bridge, I see my faint reflection, Deep, deep down as the water flows, My imagination questions me, As my wonder grows.
I wonder what's on the other side, When we die I mean; Is there really a golden gate, Where we are set aside to judged? I hear my destiny calling me, I can feel the fear rushing to my head, It's fate.
I lift my leg and step over the wire frame, I want to see, What is there, I want to know, What happens to us, Where will we go?
I jump, I hear faded screams, Typical; they fear for another life, Trying to save someone; Who doesn't want to be saved, I'm falling; into the pit of darkness, Where all are too afraid to go; I'm falling; into a land of amazement; Where all are too afraid to leave.
Sirens call, I'm falling, It's fast for others; But to me it's a slow ride, They say your life flashes before your eyes when you are about to die; But not for me, I just take a look around, And it makes me think about this world, This world here; I'm falling.
I reach the water, I see nothing, apart from a emerald mist; We have ruined life enough; We have polluted it enough.
I'm falling; for eternity; Does this mean I'm dead? Is this my destined fate? Falling; forever.
