The Shades We Wear

This one is dedicated to all teachers around the world. Happy World Teachers' Day!

See us glitter in gold for the wisdom that we hold.
A sun-bright yellow that warms a heart when it gets cold.
Like beige, we blend and adapt for you,
While we show our face and confidence in our royal blue.
Our grey moments are often hidden under our skin,
For it's blood red that flows stronger and always win.
Purple is our motif as we build hopes and dreams.
We go green for life and listen to nature's hymns.
When we teach, it gives us a youthful lavender.
But really, our intention is white, pure and forever.
You might see us in black but worry not.
It's our boldness and elegance given a shot.
The journey in education radiates different hues.
And we are the rainbow bridge in this academic cruise.
Call us madam, sir, miss, mister, teacher.
Remember us in the shades that we once wore.
