A poem of longing

I work my fingers to the bone
...For just one more chance to be with you
Only with you.

I shut my eyes and try to think
but the thoughts are clouded and i can't see
My heart beats on for you
Only for you.

Its these dark nights that come and pass
I know this sarrow cannot last
There has to be some way to see
Some way that I can be with you
Only with you.

After all this time I cant see how
It had to end but now I know
That only place I want to be
Is anywhere with you
I want to be next to you
Only next to you

In these dark times of my life
the pit I've dug seems too deep
It has to end sometime
I just cant stand living without your light
Please lets just end fight
I want to be held by you
Only by you.

Kill my darkness once again
Be my hope, my only hope
Take my hand and lets be gone
We'll spread our wings and fly away
Far past all of this where we can see
How happy we'll be just you and me
With you in my arms I'll hold you tight
Together we'll stay me and you
