Chapter 5A Chapter by Luc HunterAdrienne pulled out a Ziploc bag and gently put the burned and torn papers in the bag carefully by picking them with tweezers. Then she placed the bag safely in her evidence collecting bag. "If I take them to Dr.Charlotte Simmons maybe she can recover the text", she said. The figure quietly wrote down every movement she did and words indicating her thoughts and actions in other words the things she said. "I'm waiting patiently for your honor", it smirked and chuckled. "I feel like some one anonymous presence is here", she thought as she scanned the atmosphere. She pulled out a revolver and walked where the atmosphere took her. "Hmm a room and I feel like some is in there", she thought and after that she kicked the door with her guard on. "No one is here", she said as she inspected the room. She heard footsteps like someone is coming downstairs. She turned towards the way where her back used to be and saw Edie standing. She sighed "Is everything alright?", Edie asked. "Ah, yes I felt as if some is here", Adrienne replied as she continued inspecting then stopped and looked at her. "Must be your imagination", Edie said. "Might be", Adrienne replied. "No Imagination my cute pet mouse", murmured the same figure under his breath and vanished into thin air. "So Adrienne found anything worth", asked Edie. " Yes I found some-thing worth", replied Adrienne as she quickly showed the torn and burned paper pieces. "Interesting..", replied Edie. "I found a map of Mire-Field marked with some locations and some documents but they weren't readable, we need to decipher them in order to read them and I found a card with number, address and name written Julie Dori and other letters were hard to read", she said. "Julie Dori?", Adrienne thought. "Show me the card", she commanded. Edie handed her the card. "S-O-N", Adrienne tried to read. "S-O-N after Dori is Dorison, Julie Dorison who has gone missing", said Edie."Then lets go and investigate there maybe we can find something there", Adrienne replied. Growl growl. She looked at Edie who smiled. "Sorry but can we eat before", she asked. "Yeah sure", replied Adrienne. After saying this they were next found on a local restaurant. "Yummy", mumbled Edie took a bite from her big cheesy warm burger half wrapped in paper said. "Quit being so naive", Adrienne. "Come on this so yummy and cheap", said Edie. "I don't get it what is this connection between Dezel's Uncle and Julie", said Adrienne as she thought. "Hmm that is quite hard", said Edie as she also thought. "But I guess we will find the answer at Julie's place". "I also think the same", replied Adrienne. They quickly finished their meals and sat in the car. Adrienne pulled out the address and die drove till they reached that place. The car stopped. "An apartment", thought Edie. "Floor second", she said and Adrienne pressed second floor button on the elevator. The elevator stopped . "Room W505", said Edie. They stopped. In front of them was a room written W505. Edie pulled out a card and swiped it which made the door unlocked. "They entered the room. She turned on the lights. The room was neatly cleaned. It was simple just few chairs, one table in the corner. There was a wooden bed resting near the big clean glass windows covered with beige office curtains. Edie started inspecting the drawers. "What is this", she thought as she glanced over the sticky note. She picked it up. "Lou Davis, cellphone- 00-04-98987-66868-12 and address Mire-Field, street 4, block ABD 97", she read. "Wait what that address is same as his uncles", she thought. "Adrienne look at this", she said and handed her the sticky note. Adrienne looked. "This is the same address", she said. "Lets go to city record and find whose house is it", she said. They quickly went to city records hall located in city hall. A women about mid thirties wearing office black skirt with white collar full sleeves tucked in the skirt and black bow heels and her brown hair were tied in a bun wearing spectacles came holding many files which also seem to cover her face. A file was feel down she was about to fall down by slipping through the file. Edie supported her held some files from her. "How nice of you, Thank you", she said. "No problem miss", replied Edie."How may I help you? in return of this favor.", she asked. "Ah, we would like to see who owns this house", started Adrienne as she showed the address. "Very well ", replied the women. "Follow me". They followed her in a hall full of book and files. "You may sit here or wait I'll bring the files", she said standing infront of couple chairs surrounding a desk just like in libraries. The women pulled out a couple of files. She handed them. "Check in them, you may find your answer", she said. Edie and Adrienne both grabbed one file. 20 minutes later "I'm tried", growled Edie in exhaustion . "There is nothing in here". She looked at Adrienne who was working like a machine. "Where do you get that much energy?", she asked her. Adrienne ignored. "Found it", Adrienne said. That charged Edie's hope. "Lou Davis age 26, Date of birth 19 February 1953, spouse none, children none, parents deceased, Status Alive", she read. © 2016 Luc Hunter |
