Admitting DefeatA Poem by Lauren AmberLong lost is my determination. Nonextistant is my inspiration. Dreams are crushed by aggrivation. Of my mind, I cannot find, The strength to keep myself collected. The time to give my nerves a rest. The heart to do whats really best. For my mentality; to salvage my sanity. Unbeknowst to me is what day of the week, Is the one that is bright, alright or bleak. I switch moods like water flowing through a creek. That ends up in an ocean, a multitude of emotion. Is there medication for this pain? Am I crazy, depressed or sane? Or is it merely willpower to change the way, That my brain reacts to situations every day? © 2008 Lauren Amber |
