My Friend

I wrote this for an exceptional friend.

Beauty from within

Echoes out in tunes of grace

Lighting every face within its care.

Love reaches forth

In humility and worth,

It's joy and comfort ceaselessly to share.

Hours without time

Are her endless gifts of self;

Value beyond wealth and without measure.

Love steadies every heart

With wisdom to impart.

Her spirit is the rarest form of treasure.

A beautiful ode to a friend. I enjoyed the sentiment very much. There is nothing more "beautiful" than "inner beauty", because the exterior is ever changing; while the inside is something that remains through the ages. Very nice.
