Whereupon the shores this day by chance,
Atop the cliff, where lovers share romance - Love’s celebration of life’s desire, They behold a king's entrancing dance Upon this ghostly ship whose burning fire, Gave tender peace to lulls from quiet lyre, From the soul's rebirth shall Phoenix rise, Amidst the sullen ashes' soulful pyre, Where songs are captured in soft wind-sighs Of whose noblest thoughts the wind still cries- Yet from amongst each star, heaven’s own; Where bells toll from afar, beneath her eyes, Integrity and honor marked his throne, Moonstone stares behold wisdoms unknown; While soft, pale glows may slowly embrace, Even beyond death, whose light is shone - These two lovers from atop the cliff-face, Espy this king gloried in heaven’s grace, For within flames is seen Shadow's past, This royal final dance with dreams encased Unto forever, eternity’s mast Takes sail, while fires remain for eyes cast, Upon this forlorn hull, his rising glance - Whose eternal sight these lovers hold-fast… © 2011 Robert E Cano IIAuthor's Note
