Windows to the Soul

Windows to the Soul

A Poem by Robert E Cano II

Lost within the liquid harmony of your eyes,
I am calmed, for your presence, it soothes quietly,
Your servant, enraptured, bound by the mirrored skies,
Where emerald hues are storming my silent sea,

Two hearts of glass, melted into the breath of life,
Lost within the liquid harmony of your eyes,
Within golden sparks found dancing in rhythm’s light,
An instant eternity, far beyond Time’s lies,

I see you, the depths of your soul, your tear-filled cries,
The shattered revenant of a ghost’s only word,
Lost within the liquid harmony of your eyes,
Where the footpath blinds and silences the whispered,

Your pains are yesterday’s, your tomorrow is me,
Silent exchanges hearken paradise to rise,
Where emerald hues are storming my silent sea,
Lost within the liquid harmony of your eyes.
