A Lonely Road

A Lonely Road

A Poem by Robert E Cano II

A lonely road I walk this day,
  Seeking peace among footsteps’ sound
Beside waters speaking in sway
With the wind’s tune, quiet, unbound-

Where thoughts are fed, and sorrows run,
A lonely road I walk this day,
As glimmers shine, brought by noon’s sun,
Kisses upon the sands and clay.

Breezes feed the path’s gentle way,
Where leaves are caught and eyes are fed,
A lonely road I walk this day,
  Seeking slumber upon their bed.

I may wake soon, yet this I fear,
For comfort was found where I lay,
Lying once more where she lay near
…a lonely road I walk this day.

I found this quite lovely really, with a brisk of hopefulness.
Love the rhyming words and flow. Amazing write.
