A Moment In Time

A Moment In Time

A Poem by Robert E Cano II

A bee’s beating wings buzzing in my ear,
A petal nearby bends under his weight,
As purple lily, hoping bee will sate
Her need, wafts lazily; this bee, no fear
Has he of breeze’s lilting sway, so clear
Where bee-bright yellow and deep black, ornate,
Contrast with violet bloom, which he elates
By visiting"her scent says “come in here!”

And deep within her petals’ inner folds
Her pollen is awaiting his entrance,
Where he may dance, and she may be consoled,
To feel her life renewed: this brief romance
Offers its chance to spawn more blooms untold
Because within her folds bee chose to dance.

Wow... another fantastic poem with a strong metaphors. It's indeed a strange love between the bee and his flower!
