Angel's Disguise

Dark poem. Don't read if you want to keep thinking Angels are saints or something.

A true Angel,

With a smile and beauty like no other.

It's sad no one sees what's really underneath.

 

Destruction,

Lies,

Death,

Enter her mind numbing world,

And you'll never find your way out.

 

Angels are a beauty,

An art to behold,

But they are truly a show to see,

Once you sneak a peak into their wicked minds.

 

Created by God Himself,

He envisioned them to be the guardians of life and love.

Oh, how wrong he was.

 

If you see through an Angel's disguise,

And through the sincere mask their eyes proclaim,

You'll find a chaotic mind like no other,

Set out for destruction.

 

Look through an Angel's disguise and see who they really are...

dark, yes, but well written, at times genuinly chilling.
the voice is strong and the piece never faulters in tone.
