TragicA Poem by SimplicityJust a little poem about forbidden love. I used Romeo and Juliet in here cuz it's so similar. Two star crossed lovers, Forbidden from each other.
Tragic, that is one word for it, For they give their lives for each other, Almost like Romeo and Juliet.
Our Romeo is quiet and thoughtful, But hyper and active in a second. What drove him to our Juliet, with sad eyes and tears filled with sorrow, Forbidden from freedom?
No one is sure how they met, But it is certain their love rose instantaneously. Her mother was enraged, Carefully hiding her daughter away. His father's eyes glinted with malice, Threatening death if he dared to near her.
The two met in secret, In the safety of the night. She gave him a single rose, To show her love, He gave her a sunflower, To brighten her smile. But only then did things go sour, When they could no longer use the night, To find their love.
His father finds his son cold and dead, With a bullet to his head. Her mother finds the floor stained with red, With a slit throat and parted lips.
The tale of our very own Romeo and Juliet Has come to an end. Only their love will last now.
Oh, so tragic, indeed. © 2008 SimplicityAuthor's Note
