UnawareA Poem by SimplicityUnawareness...kind of dark.As the class drags on, I sit in the back, Unaware of anything, Outside of my own little world.
I walk in the hall, Unaware of the stares I get, And the whispers that swirl All around me. She's a freak, A loser, Here she comes! I am unaware Of the disgusted snorts, The cruel remarks, And the merciless rumors.
Why should I care of what they think? It's not like I give a damn about anything else...
I am unaware, That I am living a life, Full of sorrow and grief.
Her eyes have no life, She never smiles, She's like a zombie walking through the halls.
I lie in bed, eyes closed, Aware of another day, Of unawareness. © 2008 SimplicityAuthor's Note
