Love

a really sappy love poem, I guess.

What is love?

Love is so many things.

But to me,

It’s beautiful.

It’s you.

 

When I see your smile, I can’t help but be warm inside,

And feel a smile tug on my lips.

Your eyes are deep,

I get so lost inside,

That when I come back to Earth,

I feel like getting lost again.

 

I get confused around you,

I’m normally never this dumb.

You’re scent intoxicates me,

It’s a good thing I can’t drive.

 

You’re smile blinds me,

Showing me warmth I’ve never really known.

How is it that I’d missed out on this for so long?

 

It is you who made me fall.

It came so unexpectedly,

I didn’t even notice it.

 

But one day in class,

You made me realize.

We were paired for a project, and you turned to me.

My breath hitched in my throat,

My heart pounded like there was no tomorrow.

I was so blind as to how handsome you are,

That I didn’t notice your hand in my face.
