YouA Poem by Simplicityjust a love poem.I always thought I’d be lonely in the world. With no one to love, no one to make me smile. I always thought I’d die numb and alone, Until I met you.
We met in class, while the teacher was talking. You smiled and said ‘hi.’ I only blushed and looked away. You must have noticed me staring.
Your face lights up when I see your smile. It lights the whole world I’d once seen in darkness. I’d find telling people off was rude, But from you, I only thought it was inspiring.
You’re happy and loud one moment, The next your quiet and thoughtful. What’s in that head of yours? The one I think is so gorgeous?
I remember the day we had our first fight. I was teasing you, and you fought back. That was something I wasn’t expecting. That only made me fall harder.
Now here I am, writing this for you. Only, I know you won’t see it. I’d miss the talk we have, The pokes in my side you do to annoy me, The private jokes we share, That no one would know. But most of all, I’d miss your smile you save for me. © 2008 SimplicityAuthor's Note
