Ponies

Children's Chapter Book,Part Two

                 Many people were at the barn. The antiques were being brought inside. Already the barn had been

transformed into a complete auction area .  The ponies went to one of their favorite spots to watch 

all the activity. Carefully items were given a number and a place to wait their turn. Then they saw it , but it had no auction number. A musical toy carousel ! This miniature toy merry go round  was being added to the antiques 

collection in the barn . It was so beautiful . Painted metal it gleamed with lively color. This addition was so special.

The ponies could hardly wait to hear it play . Someone began checking the antiques to make sure they were in

good working order after their trip to the auction. The ponies moved closer. The carousel was next. The auctioneer

turned the switch on . With a tiny tinkling the little toy horses started revolving up and down to the music.

The auctioneer picked it up and put it on a table by the barn's entrance. It had been such a wonderful surprise.

From then on everything was much more enchanting.

     Enchantment was nothing new to the little country of Britney.Remote and beautiful it

had once been filled with cheerful (magical)people.Now it was in danger of becoming com-

pletely enchanted Half Francais and half Anglais it lay inside four bodies of water.The

Ondine and Trident Oceans were on the South and North sides .The Paisley and Plaid

Seas were on the East and West sides.The barn was located to the South in an area called

Jeuneteune.People from all over Britney came to Jeuneteune to attend the auctions there.

The barn was the perfect spot to hold them.There lost items were found;treasures replaced ;

and pieces acquired;making it a happy ,exciting place.The barn was immense ;with several

spaces;including a loft where the hobbie horses slept.
