BLOCKED!

BLOCKED!

A Story by Kyle
"

I understand that some here are annoying or even hostile. But simply blocking someone whom you had been friends with simply does nothing to fix the problem.

"

                       Blocked!

Has it happened to you yet?  Have you gone online here to say ‘hey’ to a friend and find out you’re BLOCKED.   Now, you are totally unable to repair the rift!

How did it make you feel?   Didn’t it make you wonder what you did?  Or didn’t do?

Why do some feel the need to do this?   Does blocking others make them feel like they have caused justice to be done here?

After being blocked do you feel like saying to that person,  “To HELL with you!”   Or do you want to just ignore them entirely?

Here is a thought.  Why don’t the ‘blockers’ just simply tell you what you did wrong?

Its called COMMUNICATION

Author's Note

Kyle
It really bothers me when I have apparently bothered someone in some way that they then resort to blocking me. Everyone has a bad day and offends someone. Blocking someone is not the way to fix the relationship.

I find blocking a very silly thing to do. It's immature. Unless someone's, like, harassing you. Even then I wouldn't block - I'd delete.
I just now looked at the other comments. I didn't know you could block people on this site. I was thinking about facebook or AIM.

I think people do it for a sense of control or superiority or whatever. Kind of like, "Ha! I blocked you before you could block me! I am victorious!"

I didn't get block by someone before, as I am not much on technology. If a friend suddenly 'block', me, I will likely shocked. In my opinion, I think blocking each other is not communication but hurting each other cause 'we' just have different opinion.
Last, I wanna ask if 'blocking' is just making fun and kick him or her out of the group. That seemed to be useless and it hurts.

I reckon that inside your probably a lovely sensitive man , im sure this is true ..

but being honest I would have to say this hun ... when I read your profile , you come across being a little blunt, hard maybe..
and the first comment you left me started a little heavy..
here are a few tips for me that I am learning ..
Balance .. A little less softer will help get the right responses ..
remember to start with a positive first when giving criticism..
you come across as though you have inner anger maybe .. hope this does't offend as clearly I don't know you at all..
And yes communication is important but as I well know anger and bluntness maybe hard for sensitive types .. just a thought ..
in your profile it says "not being overly mean or hard etc" but actually I thought you were a little.. but can see that you don't mean it ...
hope ok to say this ? have nice day :) open to discussion ... x

Exactly! well dear, you know DUTCHIES do :D and that's what is lovely about all, what can be unspoken. True point here. People, if you block Kyle tell him at least why. Be human, be just responsible to show the guts. The guts, you had also to block.

People who block, are bored/afraid/jelous/or just stupid. But extremely cowardly to not explain. I would. :) but you know! xxx

Well point here.

Well stated. I like that you took time to address this. Constructive communication is a far more suited way of dealing with any issues.

I agree wholeheartedly. I can't comprehend the whole blocking thing unless of course someone has been downright bad or abusive. It will cause nothing but more hurt and confusion by blocking so why not TALK instead...Life is too short for silliness !!

Thanks for review btw

I have been at the end of a block and for no rhyme or reason.. and on occasion have blocked the odd raving lunatic..but it's a not worth the worry..people on the internet are a diverse bunch and if you understood half the populations minds - you would be rich man..let them bask in the power of 'delete' and you just carry on writing...
