InaudibleA Poem by Kyle RomanoA new idea for song lyrics. The sound I can express, But the frequency I can’t hear. The subtle and minute problems, Forever ringing in my ear. But is ringing what this really is, An infinity of uncertainty? The guessing games that prey we begin, To comprehend the common courtesy. The curtsey that is sound. With a sun rise, There is no falling; Instead it begins to set. I might see it, Without knowing, That it’s far from over yet. The day light shows, A darkened tide, The night would surely hide. But what is irrelevant, Might prove in stride, To be the morals we live by. A golden arc, And pleasant hole, Strive to merge as one. But the bleak and the stark, Will only collide, To reveal what the other has shown. The ground, Might prove that stomping could, Only be an empty sound. For what is it, Without meaning, But simply noise we’d be better without? A crimson anchor, Has tied my thoughts, And dragged me down in shame. The bitterness, And long droughts, Carry themselves anyways. My emotion is black, As your lungs are too. Let’s strike back, so that we don't end up like that. © 2008 Kyle Romano |
