Regret

Regret

A Poem by Martin
"

Remembering a life of regret, an impression of the feeling that kind of situation would bring about.

"

Tell me what it is to remember a life of regret.

An abysmal ocean - unrequited day dreams of a beautiful

future, a brimming bright bliss haze.

Images that pulse just behind the eye, strong and vivid but

fleeting.

Obscured melancholies of a reality not desired, days into nights

into days into nights.

But look, a question full of ineptness to an illusory immobile

      figure

Tell me what it is to remember a life of regret.

It is a suffocating internal emptiness, and tinges the world wasted

and wakes you breathless into a night of echoing void.

Martin
Is the depth of feeling portrayed, is it coherent?
