I Wish My Mom Had Compassion

I Wish My Mom Had Compassion

A Poem by kyam
"

Looking back

"
Were you ever happy mama in your days?
Is that why you were so mean in your ways
You loved beating us until we bled
Hating us is what you said

Couldn't you have shown remorse?
Making us scream at your force
Compassion was not for you
Our punishment was due

Could you have shown us love?
I always prayed to God up above
Please keep her from killing us
She hit us like it was just

Your passion was to cause pain
I tried to love you but it remains
With scars on my heart to say
I will forgive you anyway

Couldn't you have cared?
So we wouldn't be so scared
You just did what you did and we endured
For you to love there was no cure.......

And so the pattern continues. One can only guess what went through her mind. What she perceived as right in her eyes obviously wasn't.

I'm sorry for the truth in this poem because it clearly still hurts you so badly, I hope writing helps. Some people aren't built to be compassionate and we can never understand it, I'm sorry you are a victim of this. The raw emotion is clear in your writing, and I hope your friends help soothe your soul. XxXx
