Black and WhiteA Poem by kyamLike friends forever Police don't understand We don't have a brand We don't see our skin Until you point it out and then We think how pretty we are Two hollywood rising stars Running through the night We stop and saw a fight The police think we're involved They shoot my sister to solve Ask questions later make their mark Of course her skin is dark I'm white so I'm free Is it the color of me She bleeds red like I do They take off her shoe They lie and say she's the one The one with the gun She didn't do it I say Go on get of here no way The black one had the weapon I looked at the phone they had stepped on Is this the gun, I said does it matter? Get behind this line no chatter But she's my sister you see Just her skin ain't like me
