what are we so afraid of

What do feelings have to do with it you say?

Just step back and look at today

Did you feel anything if I may

Ask and then you say

What did that bring up?

Was that a dead pup?

In the middle of the street

Go take a peek

And tell me true

That it won't effect you

You won't shed a tear

And it won't bring out fear

Why don't you drink another beer

Just hop into another feeling near

Death experience lurking about

Just waiting for you to give a big shout

Letting God know that you're still alive

Your not talking no jive

That feeling can just wake you up 

Like you're sitting there in a fake buttercup

God only knows your real heart

That can tear you apart

Rip you right out of that chair

Make you feel as light as the air

Feelings are where it's at

Making you big and fat

Satified like an aristocrat

And not small like a gnat

Feelings can be so grand

Make you take a stand

Make you feel kind of  heaven sent

Like you might have meant

to be.......
