Because.....

Maybe we could be kinder than we are

Helping people a little more by far

Listening to them talk about things they know

Letting them feel as though we may care as though

Did you know you just might make a difference too

Maybe somebody would do it for you

If they knew you weren't feeling very good about things

Maybe someone died and went to Heaven and had gotten their wings

Because you see we never know about that person in front of us

The one that just stepped off that bus

Maybe they used to be the greatest guy

Because life dealt them lemons is why

They gave up and can't be who they were

But if we give them a chance for sure

They could have that smile again

Because before they wouldn't let us in
