If wishes were gifts

I would have the best gift in the world!

                        My wish would be to pray for you to come home

                        to come through the door everyday or call on the phone

                        be with your baby girl

                        just be in this world

                        Say "Hi mom, I love you"

                         and I could say it too

                         not be strangled and dead

                         letting me hug you instead

                         We could go shopping together again

                          argue and you would always win

                          go out to lunch and eat

                           laugh and not skip a beat

                          "You my child would be my wish

                          to live your life with my kiss

                           to raise your child

                           stay for a long, long while
