Someone cared

Someone cared

A Poem by kyam
"

They said "Hello, how are you?"

"
I was screaming bloody murder as I pulled up to the bridge
I almost jumped and went down, just missed by a smidge
Someone unexpected noticed my pain
they realized too it wasn't a game

How delightful was that
I wasn't garbage or an old worn out hat
but a living breathing animal
but not like the carnival

he gave me a new perspective of sorts
like life could be a new kind of sport
hopeful, like that little voice I heard
when I turned on the computer and saw those words

so kind, just so shiny and new
not so many, unassuming, just a few
they seemed like Angels whispering in my ears
you'll be ok, hang on, you can make it Dear

the sun came out again you see
peeking through the clouds shining on me
my friends few words helped so immensely
I want to thank him so graciously

and if he ever needs me to be there
I hope he knows that I really care
I'll be there for him
to let the sunshine in

Another sad but beautiful and inspiring people from you, I love the lines "I'll be there for him, to let the sunshine in". It is when a dark cloud hangs over you that depression is at it's worse, and any hope is like sunlight shining in, an essential light that we need to live. Thank you for this piece.
