My Child

My Child

A Poem by kyam
"

daughter

"
As they say I came from a bad family
it was rough to trust anybody
especially the mother and father
the most, they hurt us you see and didn't bother
to apologize of course, we were nothing
after all we were objects without feelings
we couldn't love if we never had it
all we could do was on the inside have a fit
one day I had a most beautiful baby girl child
I looked up at God and I know he smiled
I promised him if he let me keep her I would
be the best mother in the world if I could0
I watched her in awe, how amazing
this child brought me such joy, I was craving
I knew love, this was love, halleluiah
Dear God thank you so nice to know her
she made me happy, no bad days, never
my heart full of love for her like I never, ever
thought I could experience for anyone
but she was a slice of heaven, so much darn fun
no more sad days, no more crying
that no one loved me and I was dying
on the inside so lonely
the greatest gift in the world if only
everyone knew what I knew, and felt what I felt
they'd be so thankful forever and even knelt
before God and thank him a million times
for having this precious angel in their lives to read nursery rhymes
I Love You my Kymber Michelle
I will forever and ever I promise to tell
you just grow up healthy and wise
I'll sing you lullabies and help you not to cry
God and me will watch over you.........mommy

I have just recently started writing and am a mere novice. I enjoy short stories and poems. I've had an immense amount of pain in my life and I would say that's my greatest source of writing to heal.. more..
