Life won't get me down to stay

Life won't get me down to stay

A Poem by kyam
"

I can always get back up, the wind may be knocked out of me, but oh well.

"
You know like isn't always cheesecake and lollipops
it is worms and a s**t sandwich
they say life is what you make it
but that's not true, that's way over the top

It's like I get thrown all the garbage and have to dig
through for breakfast lunch and dinner
or starve and hear my belly grumble
so I have to eat what I hate, have a fig

God's up there playing a game with us
sometimes we're the dart or the board
which ever one we have to endure
or get ran over by a school bus

I think you need a hug today.
But you're right on all accounts. Sometimes life is all about digging; digging ditches for your dinner, digging out of a blizzard in July, digging for that big bugger in you nose (you know, the one that's been bugging you since breakfast), and just digging yourself out of life's little cesspool sometimes.
All that digging creates callouses on your hands...
...and character in your heart.
Don't let the callouses form on your heart.

Great write, K.
