I love you

I love you

A Poem by kyam
"

This is the love of my life.

"

I loved you the moment I laid eyes on you

it was such a miracle from my tummy so new

your apgar score not too good

but you are a fighter like you should

be like mommy and take you home

and watch you grow up all alone

each stage of your life more amazing

sometimes very verbal and craving

almost more attention than I could give

but it was so important for you to live

a healthy life and get fulfilled with your needs

just like a garden getting all of its seeds

I bonded with you so strongly and loved you more

than I ever loved anyone in the whole wide world

until that day you were grown

with a little baby girl of your own

and your boyfriend got so mad

that he strangled you with everything he had

and you took my heart with you forever

I can't live here with you in it never

you are the love of my life

even if it came with this strife

I love you......

Pain is more than the death of the moon.. the ache seems to grow and grow in the darker than dark. And so does the intensity of your emotions in this post. To release words by presenting them in such detail is more than heroic. Some would call the deed cathartic or hopefully cathartic.. others would say, and I'm one, that when a pain is burned into the skin, it never goes away.. it's become part of the sufferer and needs its own voice to whisper what.. one day.

Paul Bell sent me hear to read .. i hope that this is not confessional, kyam ... the tragedy and weeping strike my heart ... i am so sorry for the loss you express ..and it happens every single day ...such horror and violence ... prayer and peace and comfort to all ... so sorry :{

I'm glad that you are writing these feelings out and sharing them instead of bottling them up. It's one of the best things you can do. As a fellow parent, I understand the love a parent has for a child and I could never imagine how strong of a woman you are. I'll be fair with my critique, but I loved it. Even though I've never met you, I felt like I was connected with you while I was reading it. I dropped my rating a little bit because I think it would be better if you went back and edited some of it (i.e. punctuation, paragraph breaks). I enjoyed the rhyming and I feel deeply connected to this poem.

Rating: 9/10.
