Paralyzed

 

The excruciating realization of betrayal

Wedged between my shoulder blades

 

Fingers, toes

Numb to pain

 

Unable to move forward

I stay

Paralyzed

Forever in this place

 

The sharp pain

Penetrates my heart

 

He looks into my eyes

Still clutching the knife

He smiles

 

And walks away
