Good IntentionsA Chapter by Nobody's GhostA reflection on a line of lyrics preeched to me once by an ex girlfriend"The road to hell is paved with good intentions" When this was said to me in conversation, i regret not paying full attention to what was being said. Had i given it all my attention, my response would have been a request for evidence or an example to support this observation. When a person intends to do good, the outcome is irrelevant in the eyes of the afterlife (or in this case, heaven and hell). The important element is the intention. We try to do good, but sometimes we fail. A failed attempt is no reason to be condemned. Most people never try, be thankful at least some people are trying to do something good with their lives. © 2009 Nobody's Ghost |
