My Own Ignorance

My Own Ignorance

A Poem by Kirsten Walters

my whole world came crashing down
now I know that I'm naive
and you have apollogized
but boy, you know you have to leave

I trusted every word you said
and laid with you in our bed
I tried to ignore what I heard
and now I'm disturbed
by my own ignorance

we talked about having kids
if we had, would you have been different?
or is it my submission
that lets all the lies in?
you were my everything
I your queen and you my king
would we have wedded?
I feel so empty headed

I trusted every word you said
and laid with you in our bed
I tried to ignore what I heard
and now I'm disturbed
by my own ignorance
my own ignorance

you said it was forever
an "us" come whatever
but you leave me alone with all your lies

I trusted every word you said
and laid with you in our bed
I tried to ignore what I heard
and now I'm disturbed
by my own ignorance
and now I'm here alone
disturbed
by my own ignorance
my own ignorance yeah

About
Oh what can I say about me? I'm really an easy going girl, and very openminded... I wouldn't call myself a democrat, but I am definitely liberal. I believe that everyone should have equal rights, rega.. more..
