Mr. Vegas

Mr. Vegas

A Poem by Karter Vaugn

Ive never been on the VIP list

I always pay for my own drinks

I cant skip ahead and cut in line with a few seductive winks

I dont roll up in Hummer limos and I never get in free

I could walk in and out of a local bar and no one would notice me

I know your use to Hollywood 20's and Im at best a midwest 3

If I hadnt stumbled into your friends zone you probably wouldnt even know I was alive.

I fell for Mr.Big Talk and your east coast bad a*s ways

you've got me trippin all over my own two feet and im lost in a smitten daze

you consume my thoughts, I print your reciepts, you stole my heart, I forrward your calls.

I wish you'd throw me on your desk and tell me you want me, or at least look at me in the dam halls.

Its my own fault I lay in bed awake dreaming of just one kiss

I guess thats what I get for getting too close, and falling for Mr.Vegas
