Books are my pals,

And my best friends,

Reading is a journey....

That never ends.

Whether we chose books,

Or books choose us,

But books guide us, 

In a way numourus.

The depth of a book,

Is only understood,

when we find it,

As important as food.

The eye of an author,

The beauty of a book,

Can only be felt,

When we got nothing else to look.

In my happiness, 

And in my pain,

I always read a book,

That pours like rain.

Books take me,

To a fairy tale, 

With its floating nature, 

It makes me sail.

The positivity, the goodness,

Books can lend,

I wish it remains,

till my last days end.

We the children are asking you,

To read books everyday,

As books are something

That show us hope of ray.

Books really are magical, they take us to our own worlds, sheltering us from reality even if for a moment. Any book at any moment can help anyone even in the stickiest of situations.
The poem you have written is good, though I'd check the grammar of that last line, it isn't clear what you're trying to say. Besides that all is well, you did a good job. :)
