DECEPTION: FORMULA FOR SURVIVALA Story by kurruptedAt the edge of a hayfield i was observing a Lizard of the same color, when a Grasshopper hopped over, failing to see the lizard it ended up as lunch. Then, i spotted a cat walk to the scene, it walked ambling along towards the lizard. the lizard alerted by the movement slowly withdrew back into the hay and reamined there. I froze observing with keen interest (and i guess so was the lizard too) when the cat started up towards its direction. The cat finally left the scene without seeing the lizard and i know "wow! that was damn close" was what the lizard will probably have said. on that day at the scene i had seen two aspects of deception-CAMOUFLAGE TO HELP CATCH PREY AND CAMOUFLAGE TO ESCAPE CAPTURE © 2008 kurrupted |
