WHAT A SIGHT

WHAT A SIGHT

A Poem by kurrupted

Afar and nigh,

below and high,

Around and away,

Is a sight,

A sight whose beauty i run out of words to express,

The mist at the peak of the hill,

The sunset from the shore of the ocean,

Befor it appeared, i saw it,

While it faded away, i watched it

But, amist one i stand,

The beauty faded not,

Ever since it was ignited,

It always has been aglow,

and forever will,

      forever will.

I like the way you compared watching the sunset and the mist at the peak of the hill as being transitory, versus the one beauty that has always and will always be in existance. Barbara

I get a feeling of a lullabye from this, like it should be sung in a whisper. And the idea of being in the midst of a wonder - experiencing it in the here and now - rather than out there on the horizon - is one I can strongly relate to right now.

Quite lovely, indeed.
