Sunshower

Sunshower

A Poem by SweetPersephone
"

Memorial day can be so depressing...

"

"Sunshower"

The sun shone down on their headstones
(Loving Mom and Loving Dad)
But the Heavens let loose a mournful cry
And it's tears fell down upon the ground
On us;

My mother and I stood side-by-side
She turned my eyes away from her with shaking hands
"No, don't.
It just makes it worse."

So we stood together,
reliving the memories
as the sun smiled and the sky cried

your killin it with the personification; however in some parts of the poem it is unclear what is going on (the middle), but the beginning and end are both very strong because of the imagery and personifications
