BLIND

BLIND

A Poem by kurohana

I opened my eyes but all I see is darkness.

Not even a single shred of light.

I stood up but ended up on the floor,

Voices surrounds me but panic silence them all.

What could have happened?

My eyes are open but I see nothing!

I screamed and cried for what befall of me.

Is this punishment?

I continue to walk not knowing where to go,

Fear as I walk the darkest road.

This gift that I took for granted,

Now, was taken back.

Must be our greatest fear, waking up blind.
I suppose we all take things for granted at times, maybe this poem should be a warning.
