Mirage

Mirage

A Poem by Nautili

Your shimmering love

in the heat of the day

beckons me to step forth.

You dance;

 mesmerizing me

in the hazy

distance.

 A prize, if I am patient~

to be won.

Suddenly all  around me

comes into focus.

Your lovely apparition starts to fade.

Illusions are for fools...

and I will be one no longer.

Your words are so elegant and fit together so wonderfully. The emotion you've hidden between the lines comes clear at your powerful close. A gorgeous write. Thank you.

Simple and strong. Subtle traces of intense emotion throughout the whole piece. I love the way you ended this.

"illusions are for fools...
and i will be one no longer."
Punch line of a heart which has learnt things the harsh way.
i have read almost all that you have posted and all i can say is you didn't become a poet, poetry came in search of you.

Thank you, Manish! What a wonderful compliment!
I really like this! One poem can mean many things to many readers, if written well. This is one of them.

I felt this through your words, this person is dancing still, in the mind, and the ending is a denial, of what shall never leave, illusions, could be very driven if a mind such as yourself is so highly colorful... Amazing work, Brilliant.

It gives me very warm feelings. Nicely done.

This felt like a warning for your heart and those who might encounter your words... how things we feel and see and experience can melt away to a very different reality... dreams to dust... Sadly moving...

"She may have a heart on fire, but she don't have smoke in her eyes." So often we get caught up the excitement of those first emotions and mistake it for more. Tome the dramatic turn was real life.

I love your words , moving between a fantasy and real , illusions around us all the time , we dont alway know whats real or not ... sometimes what we feel / see is not what the other side do , although we fool ourself that this is the case ... we are good in that ... thats how we survive xx

I love it! Your expression of this is perfect. The twist and turn of this piece is magnetic and lends mystery to it. Great write!
