Eclipse of the Heart

Eclipse of the Heart

A Poem by Nautili

You ask If I miss you.

Does the sun shine in the sky?

No, not for me.

My days have turned into

ecliptical meanderings,

bumping walls in the dark.

For you are not there.

Wow - beautiful - yes that is exactly how it feels when we are away from those we love- really liked ecliptical meanderings - conjured up a strong image. Lovely concise poetry - few words but massive impact

When Loneliness falls on you like a shadow, it's dark enough to snuff a candleflame out

This short poem has so much meaning... I read it over and over again, and feel the pain, the missing, the true eclipse, of your inner feelings. A very good piece of poetry.

I like how this is short with a powerful punch. The question/answer and punctuation works well:)

What this piece tells me even though we live in faith our hearts sometimes are fills with doubt, yes the son does shine and is always with us. Thank you for sharing.

Sad and heartfelt.

Here is a heart in darkness where no amount of sunlight can dispel the shadows... such a heaviness of heart that pulls one into that aching hole... So sadly, powerfully moving.
